The Grace family have a long history in the industry stretching back almost 50 years when they operated a chain of fast food restaurants in Ireland. Specialsing in Fried Chicken the Grace’s original recipe blend of twelve herbs and spices gave their chicken a unique flavour.

Our premium fried chicken breading uses the Grace’s unique recipe blend of twelve herbs and spices, mixed with premium flour and salt to provide an exceptional flavour. Known for use with chicken, but can be used with other meats, fish and vegetables. Suitable for vegans.

Grace’s Perfect Gravy

Our Gravy uses the same unique blend as used in our Strong Blend, with some added ingredients so you can make our amazing gravy at home. Cooked with water and milk, it will give you that perfect complimentary sauce to go with your fried chicken, fries, or any other food you care to smother with a delicious sauce!

Our History

Ever since Pat Grace opened his first Kentucky Fried Chicken outlet in Phibsboro, Dublin, Ireland on the 25th of May 1970, we have provided the very best in fried chicken, customer service and value for money. Even though we have changed direction a few times, we continue that fine tradition to this very day. We have always been heavily involved in the fast-food industry, whether that was our own shops, franchising our supplying customers throughout Ireland.

When Pat Grace started out it was the one location, and he grew that to 8 privately owned units in Ireland over the next 10 years. In that time, while trading as Kentucky Fried Chicken, he developed a good relationship with Col. Sanders, so much so they became close friends. Pat would travel to Kentucky to visit with Col. Sanders several times a year, they would discuss business and family as Col. Sanders was interested in how his new business partner and friend was doing.

When Col. Sanders died in 1980, the corporation that owned Kentucky Fried Chicken at this point wanted to change how certain things were done in the business. As Pat had spent the previous 10 years building up a very successful business in Ireland, he was not happy with these suggested changes and after lengthy consideration, he parted company with Kentucky Fried Chicken, which was now becoming KFC.

Pat continued selling fried chicken under a new name, Pat Grace’s Famous Fried Chicken and had continued success under this new name. There were ventures into franchising this new brand, but he was met with considerable challenges, and it was decided to go into wholesaling our chicken breading to other fast-food restaurants in Ireland, always using the same herbs & spice blend he had been using since he first started his business.

We have continued to grow in this market ever since by providing the best chicken breading, being competitive in the market and backing that up with excellent customer service. We are now branching out into the retail market, developing smaller packs for home cooks, introducing new products and always giving the best customer service. Recently the Canadian based cooking channel “Glen & Friends” approached us as they were doing a piece about KFC and the history of their secret spice. Because of our history with Col. Sanders they came across our website.

Even though our breading has links to Col. Sanders it is not the original recipe. Glen finished his investigation with our breading and another brand and posted this video on YouTube. Hope you enjoy it!

FAQ’s

When will my order ship?

This process differs across the regions, but we will get your order to you as soon as possible after we receive payment. We will provide tracking numbers where possible. Please bear in mind that shipments will be despatched Monday to Friday and excludes all public holidays in Ireland and the other respective regions.

What happens if my order is damaged on receipt?

This is a rare occurrence but unfortunately it does happen on occasion. If it happens to your order, please take photos of the damaged package immediately and let us know about the issue as soon as possible. We will follow up with the company who delivered the order to advise them and launch an investigation to discover who is at fault. We will communicate with you throughout this process and will endeavour to find a resolution that is amenable to all parties.

How will my order be packaged?

All orders will be packed appropriately and use robust packaging. All packaging used is sustainable and recyclable where possible.

I’ve been charged duties on my order. Why?

All products shipped across international borders may be subject to additional brokerage fees, as well as any duties or taxes assessed by the importing country. These fees are generally based on the conditions of the merchandise value, the merchandise description, where it was made, where it was shipped, and the reason for shipping.
We are legally required to make accurate declarations in relation to the items being shipped and other than that we are not involved in the process.

Please check with local authorities about import requirements as we cannot take responsibility for items shipped and subsequently rejected by authorities in your country.

Do you sell the Herbs & Spice blends separately?

No, we do not sell the herbs & spice blends without the flour component. We are immensely proud of our products and want to ensure our customers have the very best experience when using them. We could not guarantee the integrity of our products if we did sell the spice blends on their own.
